A neighbor called and asked me to pick up a package for her. “I hate to bother you,” she said. “I don’t like asking for help.” Ladies. No. Stop. Asking for help is healthy. We are not meant to be hyper-independent. And “bother” implies you’re being a pest. You aren’t. Ask for the help you need.

We also need to get serious about organizing our own unofficial self defense forces and planning for various contingencies. And that work needs to be done locally and OFFLINE FFS.

Anyone who follows the SPLC knows they aren't the bad guys. They warned the FBI about threats in Charlottesville. They warned them.

Hold on. We the taxpayers are going to pay companies $900 million, which is more than 6x what we spend on wind power R&D, to NOT build wind power at a time when electricity prices are spiking and we need more clean power?

This is my favorite development about birds over the past few decades (other than the whole quantum magnetosphere sensing). Lady birds sing. Pay attention.
