Cancelled my Pilates class this morning to sort and fold boxes of panties at work for four hours this morning. Such is the life of a retail manager :/.

I post a lot of self-centered nonsense on this app because the ugliness of the current U.S. presidency has left me stunned and speechless in matters of politics. Watching the evening news fills me with antipathy. Online photos of what’s happening make me wince and turn away.

Cruise flashbacks make me happy. This is me learning a dance.

“Have a growth mindset…” I tell myself as I fumble through a challenging job, embarrass myself at yoga, and lose another connections puzzle on the NYT games app. Life is a sometimes humbling experience.

Feeling fiery tonight. I just blasted someone in the Facebook comment section of a NYT article for claiming that she used to weigh 350 pounds and then espousing a litany of fatphobic, cruel, stereotypically narrow-minded views about fat people. It felt good. It felt really good.

Just a regular reminder to please support your local theatre, café, bookstore, bakery, and library. We breathe life into these places when we support them. Without us, they can't survive, and truthfully, without them, neither can we.

Hot yoga kicked my ass today. My attempt at tree pose would suggest that my balance is about as strong as that of your average 80 year old man.

Not that I’m getting too invested in the NYT puzzle app…but today’s connections puzzle provoked within me a surge of rage. All their “hard” ones are easy, and all their “easy” ones are hard. SMH 🤦‍♀️.

Jumped into a jazz and contemporary class over halfway through the season. It was hard (I didn’t know the steps to the dance they were practicing), but I stayed for hip hop class afterward! I’m fascinated by all the varieties of dance out there. Tonight I’ll be fumbling through a ballet lesson!

Another before vs. during #zepbound side by side. I could never have done this without the help of a GLP-1. The absence of food noise has changed my life. I have 30-40 more pounds to go, but it’s wild how much easier some aspects of my life are.

My face was so much chubbier in my pre-zepbound days!

Finally bouncing back from my post-vacation slump. I almost feel ready for the massive floor set we have to do at work tonight.

Some days I like my job, but today absolutely sucked. I’m counting down the hours until power yoga basics at 7:30 tomorrow night. My mind and body crave a level of peace that’s difficult to attain right now.

My job stresses me out so very much. So, I’m going to end the day with a water on one side of me, a Coke Zero on the other, a big bag of buttered popcorn on my lap, and “The Housemaid” showing on a big screen in front of me.

We didn’t get to see much of Grand Cayman; the ship had to pull into a more desolate part of the island because of bad weather, and after hitting some souvenir stands there wasn’t much to do. But here I am sitting in front of a sign!

The weather is too bad for us to dock at Grand Caymen right now, so I’m sitting by the window starting a new book.
