Some people ask me if the whole brain surgery while awake is a real thing. Yes. Quite a lot of procedures are done while patient is heavily medicated but awake. We have come a long way where we needed to knock out the patient and instead just numb the area and work on it. Quite helpful for us

I think the biggest test as a doctor is treating your parents. You've learned to keep your calm with randos or even personal patients but with parents you're always triple checking symptoms...Even when its something simple and we know is non lethal...we still care a lot..

Can I be upset on something doing good? Like, yeah I am happy my art is well received and all...I just don't like that as a doctor I get notifs.......and I am constantly in anxiety wondering if I am being called to fix someone's arm or something...
