iOS 26 is a big misstep to me. Feels like Apple wants to infantilize us with bobs and bloops. Floating UI over existing UI (mail, messages) is not appealing. Frustrating.

I worked for EA from 1991-1998. For a time it was wonderful. Towards the end I watched them start the path to dismantle every piece of that wonder. The company it is now is at least 10 times removed.

Can't see anything wrong with nerfing (re: Silksong). Cherry spent years on dev and likely have most gameplay committed to memory, not unlike how one is by the -end- of Hollow Knight. They can certainly realize "oh shit this is hard, actually," and adjust for accessibility.

Imagine being a dev and making something as epic and wonderful as Hollow Knight, and then having the world tell you, "Okay, do that again, but better."

working on new sprites for undead characters. left is a sepulchral crawler, which is a (mostly) noncombat unit. right are three designs for the sepulchral "spider", a sort of arthropoid unit well-suited for clambering quickly through tunnels. i have a feel in mind and haven't quite translated it yet

The scope and realization of Donkey Kong Bananza is surprising coming from Nintendo. Looks to surpass Breath of the Wild / Tears of the Kingdom. Far, far beyond any Mario game to date.
