The buildup and hits in the intro to our song “Survive This” are a reference to “Just What I Needed” by The Cars. Originally, the hits had the whole band shouting “CARS” each time (sometimes in Joseph Joestar voices), but this was omitted on recording. Feel free to add “CARS!” at the live shows.

Just truly emotional lyrics, driving through trends of self expression, self identification, and self loathing. even the way they start the record “I won’t survive this” shows just how much of a need the lyricists and vocalists had to get their words out there. The record rules

I just got home from the @sadsnack.bsky.social album release show. Fantastic Bay Area ska about being hurt by relationships, and trying to get your unemployment, and time traveling combat musicians, and understanding who you are and want to be in this world. And it is so goddamn human.
