2024 was a weird year for me. I spent the first half of my year on a project that didn't come to fruition. The second half had family stuff. I did check off an unexpected VO goal. But I also only auditioned for maybe 10-15 projects. But things are finally looking up. (Post 1/2)

it's kinda sad that digital work is so hidden like there's no messy study room or bookshelves full of works you've read or letters from people and gizmos and widgets you've built or stacks of drawings and diagrams it's all just, hidden in folders, already lost in space, and eventually lost to time

Hey new VAs! Here's an awesome lesson from @countjulius.bsky.social, who did the right thing turning down a role from a creator expecting actors to also write the script. Unless the project is EXPLICITLY improv, writing is ALWAYS a separate line item. If they expect you do both, get paid for both.
