Mao’s lore ties heavily with the sage class quests. After capturing Faldrinet, Mao ends up renovating the cave in the Dravanian Forelands as a neutral zone clinic for special cases.
Long story short however, is that back in the academy, Faldrinet stole Mao’s research and took credit for it 😭🫶
