Can you create a mud pie for house martins? It’s been pretty dry spring, making it difficult for birds building nests Plastic plant trays can be useful for keeping the mud wet for longer, good on hard surfaces, they can even be used successfully on flat roofs if safe/ practical to do so. 1/2

Awesome resilience. Scots Pines pioneering the treeline frontier on the #Cairngorm plateau - very close to the highest recorded pine, which is apparently ~1,160m on Cairn Lochan, a kilometre away. Exciting to see these beauties taking root and the work underway to restore the montane woodland zone.
