🗣️ One of the most prominent figures in modern science, the inventor of the Orbitrap #massspec, Alexander A. Makarov, visited #IOCBPrague. His work has had a profound impact on research in proteomics, metabolomics, and biomedicine — his discovery enables advanced ultra-high-resolution analyses.

Pavel Jungwirth from #IOCBPrague and his collaborators Victor Cruces Chamorro and Hector Martinez-Seara showed that even though simplified #watermodels vary widely in their dielectric constant, their accuracy depends far more on capturing water’s structure and dynamics. 1/2 #chemistry #research
