As someone with chronic pain, I tend to ignore injuries until it is too late. For example, I sliced my ankle open on a dropped knife last week. I put a bandage on it. This week, I'm paying for not getting stitches. It randomly scrapes open when I flex too hard, sit cross-legged, or itch. Sucks.

Oh, I'm an idiot. Note to self: Even if the jalapeño isn't spicy to taste, don't rub your eyes until you wash your hands. Pain.

I don't understand the concept of buying things for aesthetics only. Thrifting books for color or size, but with no interest in the contents, seems criminal. I'm not saying don't thrift for beauty because being beautiful is sometimes an object's function. But why ignore usefulness for fashion?
