My books from June! I love the storygraph cover collage but I always remember it so late in the month 📚 I think the only reason this month wasn't almost exclusively Dungeon Crawler Carl is because I had to wait so long for book 2 to be available at the library 😂

New backyard friends!!!!!! WE HAVE RACCOONS!!!! I've never seen raccoons in the yard before. There were 2 here eating the grapes, but one a lot more shy.🦝

And I'm getting close to finishing up the back panel of this long sweater! Not bad for a little over a week after 3 false starts. Is it even a knitting project if you don't have to start over multiple times? 🧶😂

I hate ordering medication through the mail. I swear the more important it is for you to take a medication every day the more they dwadle filling it. A medicine I've got pre-authorization for shouldn't take over a week to be put in the mail!

I feel bad for anyone who lives close to the current fires. I'm no where near them and the smoke in our area is insane and the smell is awful. Just what's coming inside the house from our one super janky door is intense 🤢

Good news is Rory gained weight and his eye looks great! Bad news is the drugs to calm him did almost nothing and they couldn't do the labs. On top of being a scared little guy at the vet he's got really small veins. Gonna double the dose and try again next week before we try an injectable sedation.

Time to wake this guy up from a nap for drugs so he can hopefully be this chill when he goes to the vet in a bit Taking him in for labs to make sure he's all ok. Is his peeing in the tub just him being a little weirdo or a health issue? I also don't love that he's lost weight. Not a lot but 🫤

I'm about 75% done with the 3rd Dungeon Crawler Carl book. No spoilers but there is a brief flashback to a conversation between Bea and Carl in this book and every time I remember it I get so mad all over again!

Look what a friend got me for my car! Was so excited a few weeks ago when I saw someone with one on their car because clearly we should be friends. I assumed it was something they had made, but apparently it's a real product you can buy in a store! Apparently there are a lot of super gollum fans 🥰

I was sad the post office was out of the baby wild animal stamps I had been getting for wok but then they had these bald eagle life stages stamp! The sad was very short lived. The flag stamps were just making me sad whenever I had to mail something so now I always try to get et animal stamps

Yarn has been ordered! Going to use the paintbox Aran wool mix in this lovely dark purple 🧶 I wanted to use a dark green but it's been out of stock for weeks 😕 And since I need a lot of yarn I really wanted to take advantage of the current 40% off sale on the 5 and 10 packs of this yarn.

My pattern book arrived! I was asked if I could knit a long sweater and of course we were both drawn to the same out of print pattern. But luckily I was able to find it on Ebay! Now here's hoping I can figure it out. The whole pattern for this sweater is crammed on one page 🧶

Scrounging up all the cash in the house as you head out the door for an emergency vet visit because you realize your are currently without a card because someone tried to make a fraudulent charge the other day. it's been a day 🙃

It took a lot longer for me to get confirmation my CA ballot was received and counted this year too. I fel like I normally get an email within 48 hours of putting my ballot in the drop box. Dropped my ballot off before noon last Tuesday. Didn't get a notice it was received until midday on Saturday

One of these Mondays is not going to Monday quite so hard. Unfortunately it wasn't this Monday. At least I've been able to get back in to the habit of exercising after work! An intense workout is a good way to work out some of my frustration and get my brain in a better mental state.

In what is probably a foolish experiment we have bought & planted some plants in the front yard. Foolish because we are really bad at plants. The plants are not foolish. We went to the botanical gardens & had someone there help us pick the native plants most able to survive people bad at plants.

Have finally finished filling out my California primary ballot guide! Phew. So many judges. And now to put the guide some place safe so I can refer to it again for the vote in November.. Saves so much time to be able to refer back to see if my primary choices advanced to the final vote.

Just got the big bill for my surgery earlier this year and I knew it was going to not be nothing but holy crap. And I have pretty decent insurance. I can't imagine what it would have cost for a major surgery

Am 3 rows shy of being halfway done knitting the Wild Swan Shawl and it's been bugging me how little of the gradient yarn I've used so far 🧶 Just realized I've been using a size 4 needle when I should have been using a 7😭 I guess having to reknit things is one way to stretch out my yarn stash.

Does anyone use Affinity Publisher? And if so does anyone know how or if it is possible to edit an asset? It seems like an obvious thing one should be able to do but I can't figure out how for the life of me 😭

It's 6:30 on a Friday night. Now is not the time to get into an argument with work about how chat got is not the way to research venue rate and definitely not going to be accurate. It helped someone once with a very specific thing and now everyone wants to use it for everything 😭

Someone today told me I dressed like a Star Wars character which awesome. But then they said like a stormtrooper 🫤 Now I'm just confused about their Star Wars knowledge. I'm wearing a black top & black boots. My skirt isgrey with a pattern of manta rays & my sweater is purple with dramatic sleeves🤷🏽‍♀️

Puzzle 3 completed today! And the 4th is well under way. I knew I'd use the crap out of this puzzle table! Plus added bonus of can't doom scroll when puzzling so a whole lot less of that this past week as well!

I finished knitting my tiger shadow shawl 🧶 I think this is the quickest I ever knit anything so large. It's amazing how much knitting you can do when you're trying to distract yourself 🐅

Rory loves being brushed and is constantly asking for brushing. And he's so cute of course I cant't say no and now he's got spots where his fur is noticably thin 😭Apparently you can brush a cat too much 😳

Saw on Insta there are tables specifically designed for puzzles. With special sorting drawers & a tilting surface. Been thinking about it for months. Anyways I have a puzzle table coming next weekend 😁 Belated birthday present to myself & a treat for all the scary things I did this past month!

The last couple of months have been a lot personally so lotd of stress knitting. Been a little over a month and I'm 3/4 of the way done with my tiger shadow shawl which is a nightmare to photograph. And I also finished the heavy metal shawl I started in Sept that I've been working on sporadically 🧶

The retail price for 28 days of my new prescription is absolutely insane 🤯 Luckily there was a coupon to pick it up at the pharmacy. And the by mail pharmacy I need to use at least makes it spendy but manageable with my insurance. Instead of a mortgage payment 😳

Every cat owner has garbage laying around the house and you have to explain that its the cat's favorite garbage and so you can't throw it away.

It's only taken 4 years but Finn has finally decided this cat bed is acceptable 🤣

How many times am I going to have to check in for this pre-op appointment? 😳 Also what is the office doing with all the info I keep submitting? Because they seems to be doing nothing with it since they keep asking me for the same info over and over.
