this is a tangential point, but one thing I notice about Zohran's messaging is that he doesn't swear. He makes points seriously because he has a serious job. Cursing is a signal to donors that you're feeling what they're feeling rather than a good way for people in power to interact with the public

my experience out petitioning in the last two weeks is that the libs are feeling good about politics again, lots of positive interactions on the doors, a fair number of "thank you for getting involved", people want to see positive things happening locally anecdotes obv but it fits all the real data

demanding the money back is an A+ play because -everyone wants money back and agrees with you -the true answer, that corporations not consumers paid the large % of tariff taxes is not going to fly with voters -actually refunding $100b+ into above-normal inflation would be a horrible policy
