This was extra special as it was a benefit for Chef Frank DeCarlo who created and crafted (both conceptually and physically) Peasant, and led it for years until he passed it on to Marc. I missed photographing the first course (I usually try not to take food photos these days for the most part), but that was octopus in spicy sauce, sardines cooked in their open wood-fired oven, and tripe in a fabulous tomato sauce with cheese on top.Now we get into the photos! First one: on the right, rabbit lasagna, on the left, orecchiette with sausage and broccoli rabe, and at the top, squid ink risotto with cuttlefish!Second: on the right, suckling pig (LOOK at that crispy pig skin!!), and on the left, skate with capers. Both fantastic!Dessert! I'm not normally a sweet dessert girl (cheese plate all the way!), but these were so good. On the left, the already half-obliterated panna cotta (my fault!), and on the right, a bread pudding topped with a delicious ice cream -- I think it may have been salted caramel.A wonderful experience, and I dearly hope Chef Frank recovers fully. ❤️ https://www.instagram.com/p/DPP2zGLkZbC/?img_index=1
