Big BLK's still stuck in garage. That's what you get for not reading the labels on potions and not being able to tell Alan what the potion was. Now you have to wait until Alan can deduce what magic is affecting you. Alan's making it a bit weird though. #macromarch

That's what you get for using potions without supervision of a professionally trained magic user. I mean, this was probably going to happen anyway considering we are talking about Alan here, but if he was present, at least BLK wouldn't be being yelled at as well. #marchmarch

My incomplete piece for #bowserday. I got the sketching done, but I’m out of town so art time is limited. I’ll work on finishing it when I get back home.

I was playing with BLK's design. This is a bit of an experiment to align him more with his intended parents, a Chinese Dragon mother and Kaiju father. Jury's still up on this, and would be a while if I adopted it because of in-progress art, but I'd like to know what folks thing of the design.

My friend Clippy likes to make his dragon big on occasion. I may have taken it to absurd levels.

Birthday gift for @balloogabu.bsky.social (it was his birthday a few days back). His character Hewlett and Alan have a bit of rivalry going between them, so it's Alan's turn to prank the Sheep Wizard.

Wasn't satisfied with the previous physical piece of art I did with Alan a few weeks ago, so I did another attempt. It came out better, but still needs improvement.

Wanted to do something quick with a marker so I made a round Alan. A little upset one of the marker colors caused the black liner to bleed, so I'm going to need to experiment to prevent that in the next piece.

Apologies again for being quiet here. As much as art makes me happy, work has been sucking all my creative energy out of me. It's a giant development project that has been leaving my brain fried nearly every day. It's got over a year left too, and I'm already so burnt out.

Have a now very late Micro May. Given how late this is, Kaijune stuff might be somewhere in... maybe this year? Also, don't worry about BLK, Alan is just taking the precaution of testing the shrinking spells first to make sure he can reverse any over-zealous growth that may happen later.

Now that the Metroid picture is down, I'm hoping to get back to all the half done drawings on my hard drive. Hopefully my pace at posting art will be much faster over the next few weeks.

Here's the project that was taking up so much of my limited art time over the last month or so. This was done as a gift for a local friend (I got it printed and framed for him). I only found out half way through that it was also Super Metroid's 30th anniversary half way into making it.

Sorry for a lack of art posts. Stuff is coming but things are going slow. I'm a bit haggard from emergency project at work and some other stuff (as you can see below), as well as working on a bigger piece for a local friend that really likes Metroid. I'll probably post a WIP on that later.

Late dragon appreciation day (wanted to get done earlier, but got sick last weekend). Anyway, while Alan is usually known for making BLK big, he can also make the dragon small for important things like a big hug.

I let myself go in the last few months of 2023 and gained back a bunch of weight and undid most of my hard work. I'm back on the #1 new years resolution. Maybe I can try some new stuff to get myself back to a better weight.

Din and Alan were checking out an abandoned wizards workshop looking for magical goodies, but one clumsy kobold is causing their adventure to become much bigger. Gift for @knaveofclubs.bsky.social

Done for Caleb (I don't know if they have social media accounts), as part of a secret santa hosted by @denya.bsky.social. The character is an already rotund fox thief, but stealing potions from Alan is only going to make him that much more.

Christmas gift sent off to @grocklekaug.bsky.social for Christmas. He likes his big dino and trains, so this was logical conclusion. Done with markers and watercolors.

One more of the artist trading cards. I think this is the first time in seven years I drew Alan and BLK physically instead of on a computer. BLK really doesn't fit well on a 2.5" by 3.5" piece of illustration board. I likely do another batch of illustration cards in the future if folks have ideas

Did some artist trading card sized dragons. The are playing card sized, done in ink and markers. Just a bunch of silly random stuff for fun.

In the mean time, since I won't have this year's Halloween picture done in time, have last year's Halloween picture since it's not up on this platform.

Unfortunately it doesn't look like I'm going to get my Halloween art done in time for the holiday, so I'm posting the inked WIP of the picture at least. This year I went with Cyberpunk alternate reality, with BLK a giant projection from Alan's technology. I'll post the fully colored image later.

BLK is far more calm and peaceful when growth happens after he falls asleep. Let him be happy and enjoy it until the morning... unless the spell isn't over and he grows even more.

Need to come up with something to post here to properly introduce my characters to a new audience here. Unless you all are transports from another platform... Eh, it's a good excuse to actually finish ref sheets that I've been sitting on for ages.
