The BC NDP government accepted all 14 recommendations of the Old Growth Strategic Review in 2020. To date zero of the 14 have been implemented. This government is almost as good at releasing reports as logging corporations are at destroying non-renewable old-growth forests.

If you are wondering about the smell in
#Kamloops
right now, the pulp mill shut down at 6:21 this morning because of a power outage. Gases that are normally incinerated were vented (thus the smell) but Kruger Pulp says air monitoring shows the levels are within acceptable limits.

So far this summer (July-Sept), there has been a 48 per cent increase from the historical average in the number of days Kamloops has had daytime temperatures over 30 °C: the average is 25, and so far, there have been 37, with most of September to come. It's not just extreme cold that can kill you.
