The show was a hit! It was hugely stressful - but it was a hit! And a lot of fun! Even though my #TimeTravelAuthors friends were all too far away to attend, you'll be pleased to know, you were still represented, as I donated a copy of The Accidental Time Travelers Collective Vol. 3 to our raffle!

Day 31: My show is coming up! Less than three weeks! There's food, there's songs, there's sketches, there's puppets... Seriously, it's going to be so much fun. I don't know if any of my fellow #TimeTravelAuthors are local to L.A., but I wish you could all join. I'm super excited.

Day 27: Depending on your point of view, within the lore of the story, we may all be living in an alternate timeline right now. But our heroes are working to prevent a much worse timeline, wherein the villain takes over the world. #TimeTravelAuthors

Catching up, Day 23: The way the villain is ultimately defeated surprised me, because I struggled to figure it out for a long time, and it turned out to be super simple. Obviously that's a bit of a spoiler, so I can't go into too much detail. But it involves the robot. #TimeTravelAuthors

Day 21, a day late. Interestingly enough, the only time the word "step" appears in my script is the same scene that I described in the previous prompt. #TimeTravelAuthors

Day 19: I think the closest thing to a servant we have in the show is a robot who does dishes. He's supposed to be part of an "Automatic Dishwasher" demonstration, but he finds the whole thing quite demeaning. #TimeTravelAuthors

Day 17, a day late: I've got one group of characters on a spaceship together, on an 18-month voyage to Mars, which tests all of their patience. And another group of characters who open a 5,000-year-old time capsule, which also takes a fair amount of patience. #TimeTravelAuthors

Catching up, Day 13: At the beginning of the show, we get a glimpse of the canting language of the 19th century London underworld. Then later, we explore the day-to-day lives of a group of colonists on a spaceship headed for Mars. #TimeTravelAuthors

Day 7, a day late. Somehow, in 50 pages, the words "quiet" and "loud" don't appear in the script at all. However, here's an excerpt of announcements over a loudspeaker. From the song "200 Million Miles to Mars," about the first Martian colony's voyage to their new home. #TimeTravelAuthors

Day 5: The story is full of apologies - mainly because things keep going wrong. The first one is when the cast tries to time jump back to the beginning of the show to fix something and end up accidentally taking the entire audience with them. #TimeTravelAuthors

Day 3: They're not so much protecting things as trying to get them back, because they didn't realize the things needed protecting until they were already gone. Things that may or may not include a cookbook, some paper masks, and an assortment of campaign buttons. #TimeTravelAuthors

With a new stage project I'm working on, seems a good month to return to #TimeTravelAuthors. In "All the Time in the World," a ragtag theater troupe performs shows across time. If you're lucky, you might win a raffle prize. If you're unlucky, a madman from the future may try to take over the world.

I got an anthology for Christmas, "Best Time Travel Stories of the 20th Century." And they're great. But you know what? The stories in the Accidental Time Travelers Collective trilogy are every bit as good as many of them, and in some cases better. #TimeTravelAuthors

At some point, hopefully soon, I'll get back to #TimeTravelAuthors prompts. But in the meantime, I want you all to know, I'm working on a really cool project - a time travel dinner and variety show! If any of you happen to be in L.A. at the end of March, you're totally invited.

I wrote a bunch of cool scripts this year and did table reads of two of them - including one I've been wanting to write for over a decade. I also had a short film of mine produced, and I learned and performed a couple of songs that nobody has heard in over 150 years.

Catching up, Day 25: MC regularly does his shopping a few years to a few decades in the past, when groceries were cheaper and package sizes were bigger. It also lets him get certain products that aren't available anymore. Sometimes you just need a bowl of Heavenly Hash ice cream. #TimeTravelAuthors

Day 23: MC feels like a bit of a turkey at the end of chapter 1, after making a boneheaded mistake. In fact, he makes two boneheaded mistakes, one of which has him inadvertently traveling to Thanksgiving Day, in a random, future year. #TimeTravelAuthors

Catching up, day 5: "How is there nothing to eat in this entire park? 300,000 people, 100 bathrooms, and not a sandwich to be seen. I wish I'd known. I could have set up a cart or something. A food truck would make a killing here. OK, poor choice of words." #TimeTravelAuthors

Day 3: MC travels forward frequently, even when he's actually trying to travel backward, as transportation in the 23rd century is easier and more convenient than in most other eras. He also does a fair bit of exploration and time tourism. #TimeTravelAuthors

Switching projects as motivation for my launch goal. Seven Year Boots is about a man who traverses the timeline in 7-year increments. In so doing, he rescues a woman stranded in the future and uncovers a vast temporal conspiracy. Coming this Thanksgiving! I hope! #TimeTravelAuthors

A few months ago, I started work on a serial fiction story, which then fell by the wayside. The first installment has a very narrow window in which it can be published, and it's rapidly approaching. So my current writing goal is to be ready to launch by the end of the month. I'm nervous, but excited

Catching up, Day 17: Always be ready to roll with the punches. You never know when this adventure will end and the next one will begin. You also never know when you might have to run from a robot or a dinosaur. -Gray #TimeTravelAuthors

Day 9: I have great respect for my mentor, Dr. Albert Flynn, inventor of time travel and founder of the Temporal Institute. But right now, I think my favorite person is whoever has been leaving me messages at different points across the timeline about possible rescue. -Gray #TimeTravelAuthors

Day 7: Odd is relative when you're jumping around the timeline, but in one era, there was a hologram who knew my name and tried to sell me a weekend at an ultra-luxury resort. The advertising in that era integrated directly with your brain, which was disconcerting. -Gray #TimeTravelAuthors

Day 5: I had hoped I might be the main character, but as the story progresses it seems I'm less and less so. But my plight is the driving force for the MC (I'm not sure if I've met her or not; she seems vaguely familiar) as well as for the villains, who want to stop us both. -Gray #TimeTravelAuthors

Day 3 - (Is it a day late, or did I jump to the wrong day? At this point, I'm lucky just to be in the right century) Ironically, though this is my first line of dialogue, it's actually one of my last field reports, before things go completely off the rails. -Gray #TimeTravelAuthors

I've been field testing their new time travel technology, but something has gone wrong. Now I'm being catapulted from era to era completely at random. A Time Jumper.

Haven't been on here much lately, and I've been neglecting the #TimeTravelAuthors prompts. But the last few days, I've been browsing through old documents and happened across two different time travel projects, left unfinished and forgotten. Now I'm excited to make cool time travel stuff again.

I'm way behind of #TimeTravelAuthors posts, but I'm still doing cool time travel stuff. Recently, I've been making plans for a time travel-themed fundraiser dinner with my theater group. And if any of you want to make the trek out to L.A., you're all totally invited.

You want some chocolate drink? I got some for my pirate friends, but they didn't want it, and now I'm stuck with a bunch of extra bottles of the stuff. So... Drink up me hearties' Yoo-Hoo!

New month, new #TimeTravelAuthors prompts! Day 1: Shoes make the man. That's MC's philosophy. Of course, when your shoes can take you through time, seven years at every step, you'd be reluctant to let anyone else walk a mile in them... (No idea if that sounds like a breezy beach read or not.)

4 Villains I've Written 1. Mad scientist with a penchant for death rays 2. Sea serpent who devours princesses and destroys kingdoms 3. 18th century industrialist who uses time travel to build a multi-century-spanning evil empire 4. Sardonic receptionist who's actually head of the Underworld

Day 29: I don't usually write much violence. There may sometimes be the threat of violence. There may be death and even murder that occur in the story. But I typically don't include the depictions of those things actually happening. #TimeTravelAuthors

Day 27: Though not related by blood, MC and Rosetta have a very sibling-like relationship. They tease each other mercilessly, but they also care about each and have each other's backs. Privately, both considers themselves to be the "older sibling" who takes care of the other. #TimeTravelAuthors

Not gonna lie, a lot of the names on this list made me do a double take. Very glad Bowie did not join the 27 Club, because then who would have starred in Labyrinth? #TimeTravelAuthors

Way behind, but catching up, Day 15: 23rd century pop star Lapis Lazuli. They haven't appeared in the story yet, only briefly mentioned in passing, but I want to make more of their character. But not as a time traveler. As... I'm not sure what, actually. Guess we'll find out! #TimeTravelAuthors

Day 13, a day late: MC's unofficial catchphrase is, "I've got a spreadsheet for that!" Often said while dealing with things that are not in the spreadsheet, or run contrary to the spreadsheet. #TimeTravelAuthors

Day 11: Rosetta doesn't see the point in making changes, as she believes one tragedy will just be replaced by another. MC is afraid any changes he attempts will just make things worse. And Captain Byrne is trying to figure out what changes will help prevent a future tragedy. #TimeTravelAuthors
