This is why we should use centinepers (cNp) instead of percentages when discussing such matters. They can be added and subtracted at will! Add 179 cNp to the price, then subtract 179 cNp, and we're back where we started. 😉

The Great Unfollowing is about to begin! I follow too many accounts. The resulting firehose of messages is just too much for me to handle, if I want to have an actual life outside of bluesky! So I am going to start unfollowing a number of accounts.

This saying is commonly used in Norway, probably because in Norwegian, it rhymes: Det finnes ikke dårlig vær, bare dårlige klær.

Forget “standing ovations”, international articles—all with the literally same headline “of unity” as if it came via memo (have you noticed?).. watch Kaja Kallas’ face.

Just discovered that apparently, the

browser does not recognise let's encrypt's R12 certificate, see (
letsencrypt.org/certificates/
). How come? And can I add it to the chain of trust myself? (On MacOS.)

Confirmation that my decision earlier this year to cancel my subscription to Washington Post was the right one. So sad to see it being flushed down the toilet. 💩

The Ukrainian flag flies high over a country whose core values are freedom and dignity. I love just looking at it 💙💛 The photo was taken in Crimea and published today by the Mission of the President of Ukraine in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea Happy Ukrainian Flag Day!

Minor irritant that drives me crazy: Gadgets with batteries and a USB-C charging port, but which can only be charged from a USB-A charger.

Currently reading Victoria Amelina's book “Looking at women, looking at war”. One needs to learn not only about the horrors, but about the brave people fighting it. Otherwise, it becomes unbearable.

Garry Kasparov: 'You never hear Russian opposition actually say Ukraine must win'
The Russian opposition is an odd bunch. While not supporting Russia's brutal all-out war against Ukraine and its people, the leaders of the so-called opposition don't want their country to lose. A nu...

A living willow fence. It was planted in a circle and woven together, with more fences inside, creating a sort of miniature maze.

Just joined. As far as I know, none of my real-world friends are here, so it will likely be nice and quiet for a while. Suits me fine. (I was never a twitter user and won't touch X with the proverbial ten foot (3048 mm) pole.)
