I made a cast iron stove today, it's gonna be used for cooking mechanics (big surprise!) First screenshot is in Blender, second in DuskEngine #gamedev #indiedev

I've got a profiler window! I'll use it to keep an eye on systems as I test stuff out, maybe set some alerts if anything misbehaves badly. A kind of performance smoke, to run before delving deeper with e.g. Tracy. In this case I was taking a look at how much time is spent pathfinding, each frame.

Gave the lamps some halos to improve the night time mood. I'm using the same type of light flicker pattern as was used in Quake (if you google it you'll find articles about it), it's a very nice and intuitive way to write such animations in code #gamedev #indiedev

Fun feature I've added to #DuskEngine, if there's a bunch of assets that need re-importing when the editor starts, instead of a black screen there's now a nice dialog showing the progress #gamedev #enginedev #indiedev

A cool #DuskEngine feature I've been working on is supporting custom editor windows written in Lua. Editor scripts are placed in folders called "Editor", so they can also be shared between projects like assets.
