10th game, Laika: Aged through blood A 2d motorcycle stunt game + hotline miami. I enjoy that recharging powers and reloading guns is done with front and backflips, encouraging risky air maneuvers Also, still being able to break your neck if you angle the bike wrong at the end of a jump is good

8th game, Fights in Tight Spaces Mixed feelings. Stylish and fast deckbuilder, both attacks and movement are restricted to cards dealt, leading to interesting player decision making But I really wish this wasn't a roguelike, though I can see why it is Still a recommend, just for the cool factor

Couldn't really make a kicking game without being able to kick things of the edge, could I? It is just a visual trick, if no collision with the floor, it starts rotating and decreasing in size, gets destroyed when scale approaches 0 So far, I'm having a good time with #godot #gamedev #indiegame

7th game in 2026, Not a Hero This one has been in my backlog for a while. A fast-paced ultraviolent sidescrolling shooter with an emphasis on sliding into cover, wrapped in an absurdist cartoon world It does everything pretty good, but nothing really stood out. I enjoyed my time with it regardless

Getting the hang of collisions and particle systems. "Goblins" go splat between two pillars It has been enjoyable to work in another engine like #godot, not worrying too much about the neatness yet. Gonna do a big refactor at a later stage #gamedev #indiedev

Considering a kicking game, enemies dying when they collide at velocity. Kind of like Ape Out, but more environmental interaction. Kick enemies into traps, rocks into enemies, enemies into enemies, ranged attacks back into enemies, pits, etc. Gonna see where this goes #gamedev #indiedev #godot

6th game in 2026, Chronoquartz! Finished this in one sitting. A time-loop puzzler where you reset after X screen transitions. Its about shortcuts and stretching available mechanics. I recommend it for the 'aha, I get it' vibes Also, you get to stand in front of your own grave like you're scrooge

5th game in 2026, Haste A third person speed runner. I was skeptical that this could work, but it feels great and has so many moments that make you feel awesome as you zip to narrowly avoid obstacles The vibrant colors and bopping soundtrack are great, this has become one of my favorite games

I'm working on remaking my gamemaker library of assets and scripts in godot. So far, I'm having a good time. Godot to me feels like the halfway point between gamemaker and unity Also, playing around with an empty canvas and exploring all its features is a liberating #gamedev feel

My steam deck arrived today. First up was Broom and Boom, my newly released game. It is definitely not yet ready for steam deck, but at least I can test it now (add it to the Todo patch list) Also, play lots of other indies. Anyone got good suggestions for steam deck verified indies?

4th game, En garde! A swashbuckle-em-up. Combat is less mechanical skill and more positioning and quick thinking Am enjoying it a lot. Throw a cooked chicken at one head, light a cannon as guards come across a corner. Vibrant color and comedic tone also really appeal, highly recommend this one

Third game this year, expedition 33 Fully earns all the praise it gets. Satisfying combat, striking art direction, intriguing world, I'm adding soundtrack to my work playlists One small niggle, heavy side-questing made the finale too easy, slight anticlimax. Suggested lvl for areas would be nice

2nd game the year, POGOPPL, a physics-based pogo-stick platformer Very fun, bit frustrating, the pogoing is not trivial. But the somersaulting, grinding, rocket flying make you feel skillful when you pull it off Ragdolling and breaking your face violently takes the sting out of defeat #indiegames
