Well, my time on Twitter/X has finally come to an end and my account there is deactivated. Will be spending more time here now as a result. Which I think is a good thing!

I really want Amorim to succeed, but I can't say I'm convinced. Blindly following a formation that players aren't suited to, and which may not work in the Premier League is concerning. He says he won't change, but if he doesn't I fear the worst.

Dan Ashworth is gone then. Not a great look for INEOS especially after the haggling with Newcastle and the long wait to get him in.

If every player consistently put in the same level of effort and commitment as Amad, we'd be alright.

RIP Kath. The official tribute, and the many lovely words from ex players and journalists did bring a tear to the eye. Sounds like a wonderful lady and the end of an era.

Morning Reds. Not too gutted about losing to Stoke, sorry, Arsenal last night. Definite lack of quality in final third, but remained solid for much of the game and it's evident they're trying to follow Amorim's instructions. It's gonna take time and this wasn't a game I expected much from.

Lovely day out with a mate yesterday on a London pub crawl. Ended in The Spice of Life watching the incredible Apollo Brass, who were an amazing find. This was the best pub tree we saw. Congrats to The Silver Cross pub.

If you could bring 1 player back from the post Fergie era into the current squad, who would you go for? The old Fergie guard were too old when he left. So I'd go with Edi Cavani who would press like a demon. Back ups Herrera, Matic & Rooney (although way past his prime post Fergie).

With one week until the season resumes, what do we think are realistic goals for us? I think top 4 should be the aim, although we might have left ourselves quite a lot to do and it depends how quickly the players adapt to Amorim's style. For me, top 6 minimum and a trophy should be the aim.
