1/ 🌱 In 2024, the EU made history by adopting the Nature Restoration Law, committing to restore all degraded ecosystems – forests, rivers, seas, farmland, and even cities by 2050. Now comes the hard part: turning plans into action.

‼️ A draft law supported by 30 members of the Parliament, aims to roll back Romania’s coal phase out and, at the same time, delivers a masterclass in manipulation. The proposed law reopens the possibility of building new coal power plants, as well as continuing the operation of new and existing ones.

1/2 🚩The negotiations around the next multi-year EU budget have started. As part of a new funding architecture, every Member State will create a “National and Regional Partnership Plan” outlining major national investments in key sectors, like energy, agriculture, and regional cohesion.
