Remember to check your paypal/twitch/tiktok/youtube/etc. for lingering 1099s. While you don't need them to file taxes, it's always good to know what the IRS has for information with you.

I cannot state how bad this is going to be. Those poor IRS workers, anyone who has a question or needs to get some service provided by the IRS is going to expect minimum wait times of 3 hours.

As I am ramping up for the season, my small suggestion is that you bring all of your paperwork in at once if you can. The same goes for uploading tax documents. It helps ensure that we process your returns in a timely and efficient manner.

Just know if you ever have any questions or need help with taxes. I always try to make myself available to assist others. Taxes aren't easy and I went to school for them. I don't want anyone who didn't to stress about the IRS. Feel free to share this offer with others.

Hey Teral! I want to expense the games I play during the stream, can I do that? Sure can! The IRS will want to make sure that you’re not getting personal use out of the purchase (playing it in your off time) but as long as the game is used specifically for the stream you can take the expense.

Without downloading any new pictures, where are you mentally?

Hey Teral! I won a prize worth money what should I do? The IRS will always want you to report each dollar you win as income on schedule 1 of your tax return. If the prize is a noncash prize they’ll want you to use the fair market value to determine the amount for the prize.

Have to do some math to see if I’m getting a 1099-k this year. Don’t forget that they are now enforcing the threshold of $600 on PayPal, Venmo, and other cash apps. Be prepared to do a little reporting if you’re not used to getting one. And if you have any ?’s feel free to ask!
