Animal welfare is a priority for me. I was pleased to attend a recent RSPCA event to discuss the new animal welfare strategy. Ahead of its release, I raised concerns about rising vet costs, farming practices, fish welfare and wildlife crime, and the need for these issues to be properly addressed.

Last week we were in Parliament to discuss the Government's Animal Welfare Strategy for England with Parliamentarians 🐾 The Strategy makes commitments on a wide range of issues and we look forward to continuing to work with the Government to make this a reality
