Needs repeating that #PressYourLuck is the best new game show on American TV in the past 20 years and Elizabeth Banks is an amazing host who deserves the Emmy for this more than anyone else.

I do want to note that while I criticize I don’t think Millionaire and Match Game are bad shows. They’re totally fine. I just was hoping for a little bit more? Especially from Millionaire. Match Game I got what I expected. Millionaire I always hope for a larger effort.

The new Match Game also looks really cheap and weird? Like the set and production looks bargain basement. Also the show feels like it's filmed weird, almost like it's in PAL. My joke of "This feels like a GSN version of Match Game instead of an ABC version" was pretty spot on.

Sorry, not feeling this new Match Game. Martin Short is a better host than Alec Baldwin. The show in general feels worse than the last ABC attempt. This isn't doing it for me.

I’m personally a bit Match Game’d out and I think I’d have preferred to see To Tell The Truth back first? That recent ABC version was a constant delight and insanely fun. Probably more expensive to do though.

Saying this as respectfully as I can but just in terms of looks, the new Match Game looks like a pre-fake-set GSN version of ABC’s version of Match Game. It’s very noticeably cheaper which was clearly the point of bringing the show back.

Another nice night for ABC’s game shows. Celebrity Feud at 3.8M/0.34 demo. Press Your Luck at 2.9M/0.33 demo. Press Your Luck actually up a bit from last week. Looking solid for both. Nearly all of ABC’s game shows have done awfully well this season.

It seems that NBC may be renewing Password for a 3rd season? There’s allegedly quiet casting happening back, hearing this from multiple sources. Allegedly the show may tape in New Jersey in the fall.

Basically I wish all current seasons of Millionaire felt a little more like an actual attempt at a show and little less like ABC wanting to have the rights to the show so they’ll put out whatever just to keep it.

Millionaire (current) is such a frustrating show. It’s not a bad show. But it’s a quite bad version of Who Wants to be a Millionaire. It’s confusing how they’ve fumbled the ball this bad. But it keeps limping along so whatever.

It would be lovely if Millionaire didn’t outright spoil the results of the season before it began. Also would be nice if winning Millionaire was something interesting or exciting anymore.

MGM has started a FAST channel for American Gladiators. It's definitely on Plex. Not sure about others, so check it out. Plex has a *really* good game show FAST channel lineup if you're interested. Probably the best out there.

This is correct. Any candidate cynically “triangulating” on trans kids is a non-starter, and now is the time to say so. There’s still so much time to advance candidates that DON’T suck.

Match Game the smart way to do a virtual or screen-based set unlike GSN’s recent efforts. The main elements are physical and still built but the all the background ancillary items are screens. Looks nice.
