Studying for comprehensive exams is a particular kind of miserable.

Made it to London!

Conference presentations: 1) Undergraduate: “I will read every word on this sheet of paper in a calm and steady way.” 2) Masters: “I will have bullet points in front of me to reference and help me stay on track.” 3) PhD: “What if I open with a joke?”

Yesterday I got to cross the stage and receive my MA in political science from McGill University! I celebrated with some of the people I admire most in the world, and feel so fortunate to have spent the past two years exploring political theory here. Looking forward to the next stage.

On this day 7 years ago, I formally announced my decision to pursue political theory. In that time, I’ve achieved two degrees, one publication, received offers from several PhD programs, and made the decision to stay at McGill. It has been an adventure.

Someone stop me, I am once again thinking about starting a podcast.

Networking is just confidently making eye-contact with people.
