How big law lawyers reacted when Trump targeted them is terrifying to me. It shows how quickly some rich people leave their virtues behind when their wealth is even remotely at risk. I’m glad I don’t need to worry about how my colleagues feel about this.

I’ve been mentioning this for years! Back in 2016 the Provincial government amended the Insurance Act to require all group disability policies to be underwritten by an insurer because of this exact issue. And then never proclaimed it into force.

A New Hampshire real estate attorney and American citizen returning home from Canada says he was detained at the border without an explanation and "treated like a criminal."

This should be interesting for the several hundred lawyers who'll be coming to Quebec City for the International Association of Defense Counsel's annual meeting; most of them are American. And shoutout to this U.S. lawyer who somehow thought relations over the border would improve under Trump.
