What is so remarkable about the transition of the USA into a fascist dictatorship are the speed and the live filming of everything. It feels like a morbid movie that we know tells a true story but is so alien to our experiences of that country that we can’t quite believe it.

I used to think that while Labour isn’t very competent it at least isn’t as corrupt as the Sunak government. The whole Palantir saga is slowly changing my mind on this.
