Back when GDC's rebranded to the GDC Festival of Gaming I saw a lot of backlash, frustration that echoed a sense of watering down what GDC was about - people making games. Was the concern warranted? Everything I've seen it's another GDC with a new lick of paint. I hope the vibes are still good.

parts of skate are magnificent

I am really excited for the future of skate. Feels similar to the launch of Sea of Thieves? The 'make your own fun' isn't there yet and the cosmetics feel a bit ...lacking. When I was at EA, the creativity on display during Full Circle's bi-annual creative jams was so inspiring and exciting.
