As an actor I also gotta say: if you take a gig knowing generative AI was used for any part of it, SHAME ON YOU. Visual artists deserve just as much respect as performing artists do. If you agree to let them use your voice/face/sound for gen AI you deserve to be blacklisted imo. Gen AI harms us ALL.

Every day another company/creator gets boycotted. Every. Day. I genuinely don’t know how to enjoy anything anymore because I’m so worried about upsetting someone because I enjoyed something not knowing someone involved was terrible or the company supports Gen AI or, or, or… It’s exhausting.

Not to be the fun police but I do hope people know that Arc Raiders does use generative AI for voice acting, and by supporting the game you're letting higher-ups know that this is an okay practice. They try to downplay this on the Steam store page by describing the AI usage as vaguely as possible.

Bruh I unblocked “rude” and other “adult content” and the amount of posts on my feed *from people I follow* has more than DOUBLED. Apparently these tags are being weaponized by people who disagree with the opinions of others, especially political opinions or things like mentions of trans rights.

Because I noticed something a little interesting in my follow list recently, I’ll be very clear: If you work with or condone AI, you are not welcome in my community. Environmental destruction, theft of intellectual property, and decimation of critical thinking are things I don’t abide by. Period.

A very wacky game that started as a meme animation just dropped their demo and I am so eager to crack that bad boy open. So! Tonight will be me playing that demo and, if there’s time, maybe some Worship to close the night.
