A trans woman just told me that she'd rather die than be admitted to hospital (UK), for fear of being placed on a mens ward. My heart aches this morning thinking about women's spaces becoming exclusionary of our trans sisters. Regardless of what the code of practice expected today contains, trans people are protected in law from discrimination, and deserve dignity, safety and access to services like the rest of us.
