There's nothing wrong with vivid sex scenes but you have to remember to have an interesting world, interesting characters and an interesting plot outside of that and you cannot fall back on "well it's just smut literature" every time, otherwise take your ass to the cowboy ranch romance section.

Something I think is funny with booktok is people will genuinely try to convince you to read some a poorly built fantasy novel with a few explicit sex scenes and then THEY will say "I mean it's a smut book why were you expecting any deep literature" so wait, WHO'S devaluing the work again?????????
