Something I've noticed from the void assaults: -The ethereals are selling weapons to the deeplurk naga. -The Twilight's Blade and the ethereals are both seeking a "prize" located beneath Zul'Aman. I think some joint ethereal/twilight/naga alliance will be the enemies in Atal'Utek.

After thinking on this further, what if they merged X.X.5 and X.X.7 patches into a single X.X.5 and patches came out 12 weeks apart?

I personally would like to see better beak remains to help constrain these estimates, and I suspect the upper-end estimates are probably inflated. But this doesn't really strike me as outside the realm of possibility

Neat detail I hadn't noticed during Voidstorm leveling, the blood elf civilians are actually barred from leaving the city into Eversong altogether.

I was told by a friend that ESO used to do this kind of thing as well, chugging things out so fast that people couldn't really sit and enjoy things (or well, get things tested properly anyways) I think they should slow down and take their time to make sure patch releases are not as buggy.

Sadly, the corrupted lantern is still bugged in the Arcantina, at least if you completed the quest when it initially was available (haven't checked on a character who hasn't done any of the quests yet), making the achievement "Highly Decorated" impossible to complete.

The decor you get from this week's Arcantina quest, in both the quest description and the item description, say they are obtained from Pyrewood Village in Silverpine Forest and the Serpent's Coil in the Blasted Lands, but you actually get them from Gilneas City and the Burning Steppes.

And announcing on the same day this launched that sub price is being raised in some countries? While they have more premium stuff on the store than ever with housing? All leaves a bad taste in the mouth.

Well this is super annoying. I completed the "Tallest Tree in the Forest" achievement while housing was disabled yesterday, and now that its back I didn't get the decor reward from it. I can still purchase one for voidlight marl but marl is at a premium with all the new stuff to spend it on. =(

My thoughts depend on how this works. If this only changes after you complete the MSQ, showing that you've earned the guards' grudging respect, that's kind of neat. If it's just a blanket change then it's more de-fanging of the blood elves and conflict in general which is less neat.

This patch came in way too hot. Besides the frequently mentioned bugs, I've noticed a lot more grammatical and spelling errors in the writing. I hope the devs aren't being overworked, and if its going to be this buggy they maybe need to rethink the strict "patch every 8 weeks" paradigm.

Void elf DHs finally have unique blindfold and loincloth customizations instead of using the blood elf ones, except the demon hunter only skins still use blood elf underwear.

12.0.5 has added a new loa to worship in Zul'Aman. Pahk, the Loa of the Depths. You unlock worshiping him through the Abyss Angler activity. He seems to be either a threshadon or an eel. His description is yet more ominous foreshadowing for Atal'Utek.

12.0.5 includes the long-awaited DF LFR NPC just 2 expacs later. He's right next to the stairs inside Seat of the Aspects. 📚 While it's possible one may have collected a M set to complete the other 3 colors, this will allow for the obtaining of unique weapons & Dragon Manuscripts. 🀄

I'm doing Harandar side quests on one of my haranir characters, but it's a shame there's no real recognition for playing this race I guess it would be hard to work into the existing narrative? but it's quite immersion breaking to have all of them call me an outsider and that I look unfamiliar etc

Blizzard really needs to stop rushing their entire expac story into the launch patch so they can...do half-assed side plots for the rest of the expansion. They haven't successfully built a story across patches since MoP and Legion. Everything since is patchwork and wasted potential.

The missing Blood Elf cosmetic set on the left, by Alyssa Herman, showed up in the Blizzard Artblast today. 🥲 It is so insanely stunning, I wish Blizz would still add it in a later patch this expac because people would use the HELL out of the pieces in that set!!!

I think I've just realised why they changed the Velf colours.. The Domanaar and Ethereals went down their old scheme instead, it's a lot closer to the original concept art too, brass/amethyst instead of garish bright eyesore gold and the most saturated purple possible. It must've been to contrast.

God I love the Kaiju vibes of the Voidstorm creatures so much, they remind me of the Primal Zerg from Starcraft 2 in the best way.

noticed this concept too with the original voidelf colors. i think the gold wouldve looked great in the voidstorm zone. oh to be a fly on the wall of the convo that led to altering the elf color palettes...

So much of the concept art for Midnight features green gems on the Blood Elf assets, and I really have to wonder at what point in development they chose to surgically excise that from the racial aesthetic. Even the holy-looking buildings here have their iconic colors!
