My one hope for Survival Hunter going forward really is just a cosmetic glyph for Boomstick to use your Ranged Weapon slot. It's the cleanest solution to allow players to use any appearance from their collection without changing the spec's (amazingly fluid) gameplay flow.

With that though, that marks my completion of Loremaster for Midnight! Definitely the longest it's ever taken me, the max level campaign really sapped away my desire to do WoW content for a bit lol I'll do a zone ranking soon™, after thinking them through a bit more.

I never actually finished this during beta, so I never realized that the Ethereal story in Voidstorm basically ends on the Void Elves welcoming them in like the Alliance did. They're even a new faction as the Waking Shadow, and an intent to recruit more to their cause over time.

Now that we've seen base Midnight fully, I have a maybe controversial retrospective take: I think the Horde-only section of Silvermoon was a huge mistake. All it really accomplished was turning the iconic TBC version of the city into an absolute dead-zone, and it's such a shame.

Trying to chronicle the Darkspear Rebellion as best I can before it goes away again. After having played through Cata and MoP again here, it's really hard to emphasize how satisfying this patch was after *four years* of buildup.

It's such a shame that the Darkspear Rebellion story isn't playable on retail anymore, it's such a phenomenal patch for the Horde story and it's going away *again* on Tuesday

Also I've never done this as an orc, so I didn't realize the Kor'kron had race-specific dialogue to show their disgust for being "race traitors".

Cata/MoP had an interesting idea of the younger orc generation turning away from Thrall's teachings, and even blaming him for their situation in Durotar. I really wish we'd gotten some follow-up, because the generational gap is genuinely the most interesting part of orc story.

It's always been really funny to me that Garrosh used warlocks to subjugate the Echo Isles, given his opinions on them and what happens to orc warlocks in 5.3/5.4. I guess it was just the most extreme case of "Leopards Eating Peoples Faces Party" ever lol

This version of Thrall really just feels like a world apart from the one we've had since BfA, even at his most "neutral World Shaman" state.

Totally forgot that Warriors used to actually pull out a shield for specific abilities like Shield Wall or Spell Reflect. I'd love to get a glyph for this on retail, now that we can basically 'choose' the shield model via Outfit slots.

I love that they didn't make a male shivarra model to go with the incubus, so the upgraded version is just a really angry incubus with TWO whips lmao

I like it better than the all-white from 12.0 at least, but it really is such a shame that all the color from the void elves got totally drained lol I at least wish specific subgroups could have kept the color palette from their heritage set, like the Riftwalkers.

I've been wondering for a while why the Seat of the Pantheon hasn't been in the sky during Midnight, turns out they might have just forgotten to layer it over the new skybox models lol

And normally I'd be frustrated that these kinds of things are put onto the Trading Post instead of actual story content, but they've actually amended that with the Sunwalker sets! In addition to the Trading Post, we're also getting a recolor from Midsummer Fire Festival.

Big fan of the race-themed Trading Posts we've been getting lately, it's done a great job in filling out aesthetics that heritage didn't quite cover. Each month having a strong singular theme also makes for a much easier time deciding to splurge or save lol

The Loa Lorewalking got one *tiny* little edit, with Li Li mentioning in her optional text that the Shadow Hunters fulfill a similar role to the Hash'ey. The text about Zul'jarra and Rastakhan is still the same sadly, but this small mention is better than nothing haha

Thrall and Garrosh cameos in the new Overwatch short story, I absolutely *love* that Hanzo is a Garrosh player lmao

And *there* is 3.4k lol, I really love that they added higher cosmetic rewards like this for M+. I didn't do high-end content at all in the first few seasons of Shadowlands, so I had to get the perfect Mawsworn one that I missed for Cynya.

First +18 of the season done! Insane that I did this before even getting 3.4k lmao, but my shaman friend loves doing things out of order

A major problem I have playing my Evoker is that I sometimes find myself just cinematically flying around instead of fighting because their Soar animations are just so fun to use lol

The void elf NPCs in Magister's Terrace finally got dialogue, with their own versions of discussing how returning has been. I do wish we got to see more of the spite from BfA that the void elves had, they've been very 'morally above it all' in Midnight other than Astre.

I've literally *never* bought a legendary skin for Kiriko, and yet I somehow have 13 of them because they give her just that many skins lmao

I really wish that Harandar had more questlines like this Ka'dani one or the Zur'ashar paintings, because they're *easily* the most compelling and unique their culture has felt. Way too many of the Haranir side quests were just kind of... filler, instead of cool stuff like this.

Doing this after Midnight and just... Man....

For our Horde playthrough, my friend and I are reliving MoP warlock and warrior just to remember how well designed they were lol

Oh my god I never even saw this back in 5.3, a pro-Vol'jin protestor running through the streets and then getting shot in the head by the Kor'kron.

Saw my old character inspiration board for Cynya and figured it could use an update. She's gradually become a bit less guilt-centered and a bit more of a post-redemption combatsexual over time lol

Huh, the upcoming boss for the 12.0.7 raid has actually been in Harandar the whole time as an NPC, that's neat.

The high elf NPCs in 12.0.7 got updated to use the new Silversun Compact tabards, and Vereesa's Ranger-General titel has been removed. The Silver Covenant is fully gone, sadly, and it doesn't seem like much is going into expanding on what the Silversun Compact entails right now.

One wish I have for cosmetics in 12.1 though: Amani versions of the new lynx and dragonhawk mount models. The eagles/pangolins are nice, but it'd be perfect to round out all of the tribe's Loa-related animal mounts instead of only having elf versions.

Real life update: I graduated today! Officially heading to pursue my PhD in Biomedical Sciences this fall, to study developmental pathways for limb regeneration.

With the return of the Titans (and likely also Sargeras) in The Last Titan, it sure would be a good time to bring back Tyrus Blackhorn from Hyjal...

Random TLT idea, it'd be fun if we eventually learn where the Path of the Titans ends at. They teased some info about it in Exploring Northrend, and how it leads to some unknown location south of Strand of the Ancients, that feels like an easy patch/sub-patch zone story for TLT.

Fully expecting these to become Silversun Compact camps in TLT as a sign of their development in Midnight

Really glad I leveled my troll through all of Zul'Aman ahead of 12.1 and Atal'Utek. It all hits so much different, and I'm very excited to play through a whole new patch of troll content. I *pray* it's of the same quality and from the same team that did 12.0 Zul'Aman.

I really appreciate that Amani culture wasn't softened for the sake of being a player-friendly group in Midnight, they still do very uniquely *Troll* forms of cultural practices. Also it's really just funny that they're more mad that he *failed* to cheat than that he cheated lol

Somewhere I think *almost* accomplishes this in Midnight is Goldenmist Village. Having the Nightborne moving into their vineyard areas is a *great* idea, and I wish they went further by making it a full on fusion of Sin'dorei/Shal'dorei building models.
