I really can't give enough praise for how well the Draenei's story has been told the past few expansions. It would have been so easy to write them off as a 'completed' race after Legion, but they've genuinely become the most interesting race in the setting since Dragonflight.

Update: they listened! Survival can now use the raid items with both 2h and Dual Wield. I'm very glad that they're genuinely trying to keep both weapon options balanced for player choice, especially after all these months of universal Dual Wield BiS lol

Blizzcon is two months away now, for which I only have one single hope: Tinkers. They are the most blatantly missing class fantasy in WoW, and The Last Titan is the *perfect* chance to add them as a mixture of goblin/gnome and Titan technology.

Update to the other part of this, Kifaan and Veraan managed to get both the Warframe *and* the Vigilant up and running without damaging either! Having a living inhabitant from Naigtal around will be really cool to see for the future draenei story set-up, especially a Vigilant.

Update: there's another quest about the hologem! Ymera reveals that it has information on previous draenei colonies, so we're bringing it to Tul'amar from Voidstorm with news that her people are in danger. This is SO clearly setting up a draenei patch on Nashabor in the future.

Final week of Naigtal story! And already *so* much info, Veraan just gives us a big lore dump lol The ethereals looking to hijack the warframes to make insanely strong bodies for their souls is very cool, and them having to use *other* souls to do it is a good limitation.

Well, I was waiting all these weeks hoping there would be some actual lore at the end of these Omnium Folio quests, but I guess it was just an excuse for a borrowed power system lol The Sunstrider Omnium awakened for Reasons™, I guess.

Heroic Val and Naigtal all finished, I'm a big fan of these zones despite some annoyances with the elite spawns. I really hope we see Heroic World Tier refined and implemented into a proper patch zone some time soon, because it really is such a promising concept for WoW.

I've been thinking about why Arator is such a mixed bag in Midnight, and the best way to communicate that is in how he's become the "new Anduin". Because I don't think he's Anduin's story replacement, I think he's the same kind of narrative tool -- to espouse the story's message.

I entirely hadn't checked before, but the delve nemesis story for Season 2 is testable! The intro quest has an actual story this time around, playing as Valeera similar to the quest from Undermine with Brann.

My main hopes for Arcane in 12.0 were that they’d let me use Arcane Missiles again and throw out an absurd amount of pink nonsense. The verdict so far on 12.1 is that they have succeeded lol

The thing with the Haranir reveal is I get why they did it: they wanted an inversion on the “power of unity solves all issues” that’s been so prevalent lately. Elves and trolls *not* having their struggles fixed by this kind of reveal is good! It’s just executed so clumsily lol

So is the reveal from this cinematic that elves and trolls aren’t actually a direct lineage anymore? They’re just divergent evolutions from their *real* ancestors in the Haranir? That’s… something.

Mage have gotten a lot of good changes in 12.1, but the best change is the removal of the stupid 5-orb effect from Sunfury. It was entirely required for the tree to operate, and it totally went against the Blood Mage fantasy, so I'm *very* glad that it's been changed.

After checking in daily on the PTR, turns out that literally *all* of the new 12.1 delve variants are active today lmao, so time to check them out. Starting with a crazy one, Ula'tek being summoned inside of Deatholme.

Another 12.1 side quest from the PTR, this one about some of the ghosts still lingering near the ritual site that Ula'tek was summoned. Their "fraying" animation looks like Azerite, but I assume that's just coincidence.

All of my criticisms of the Overwatch webtoon fade away the second it decides to focus on Fika. I am not immune to cute Jetpack Cat propaganda.

Turalyon has, somehow, been entirely removed from the Overwatch Blizzard World map lol

I definitely need to read through this a few more times to solidify my thoughts, but one thing I do like is how this points out the fundamental difference in perception between elves and Amani. Ther lifespans make the 'cycle of hatred' so much more uneven between the two groups.

A few more of these Ethereal records unlocked this week, including some very cool animations of Y'mera looking at our retrieved holoprints. Definitely seems like this "Null Architect" wants to combine the draenei's Vigilant and Warframe tech into some new conduit. Very cool.

Naigtal week two story! Excited to delve into what tech the Hal'hadar are actually stealing and repurposing, since that seems like the main quirk to set them apart from regular Ethereal groups.

This shop description being so basic has me thinking it's like the Sylverian Dreamers, and they're probably going to be used as outdoor creature models for an Iridikron zone in TLT.

I wonder why they chose to release this now, when it spoils the big “reveal” of next week’s story quest. Between this and the PTR testing, it feels increasingly weird that they chose to timegate this chapter.

Update: they're now sitting together! ...but they're both talking about entirely different subjects, so I don't think the delusions are over yet lol I'd love to see an actual conversation between these two, given their third-party lore connections.

Huh, 12.1 is replacing the loading screen for the Midnight zones with the xpac artwork instead of the northern Eastern Kingdoms continent art.

I so desperately wish that the Wrathion legendary questline was still playable, because it's crazy to me that the first time we heard about Azeroth being a Titan is *entirely* inaccessible. I think I'll go insane if Wrathion doesn't get a follow-up to this in The Last Titan lol

Kul'amara's other questline on the 12.1 PTR, already off to a great start with this sibling dynamic lol

Kul'amara is in 12.1 and has a few side quests, glad to see she's not permanently relegated to Silvermoon for the Void Assaults. This one is seemingly about showing the different Amani tribes working together to fight Ula'tek, which is fun.

How... lovely

Side note, it's crazy that we got an entire leveling zone and seemingly a whole patch zone without a single Amani troll saying Taz'dingo lol
