Our Ageratum got to move to a new location this year and seems happy with the change. One of its nicknames is Floss Flower because the pompom flowers are soft and fluffy.

You have to appreciate the red and black ❓ question mark afterthought. I drive by this place sometimes on my way home from the highway and often there are guys with clunkers talking to the owner. I'm never sure if they're donating their vehicles or looking for parts.

One summer I planted an entire package of Benary Giant Zinnia seeds. The butterflies arrived in clouds and I stood out in the summer sun and soaked in the beauty. Purple Salvia flower spikes attracted the tiny flying flowers.

It's easy to see why these beauties are called Lantern Lily and Spider Lily. We had a big storm yesterday with hail and lightning and yet they persist in brightening our backyard woods this morning.

The Moon Bridge in the Asian Gardens at Bellingrath Gardens makes visitors stop and stare. The gardens were the private residence of Walter and Bessie Bellingrath who invited the public to enjoy their estate first in 1932. We visited on our way to the barrier islands in Mobile Bay.

Asparagus plants become ferns over the summer as we stop cutting them to allow the roots to gather strength for next spring's harvest. The birds eat those beautiful red seeds and now we have asparagus ferns popping up in the flower beds.
