I did not watch the inauguration. Instead I ran errands with my family and stopped at a fast food place for lunch per my son’s request. This was during the time of the inauguration so I thought I would be safe from MAGA as they should all be crying tears of joy while watching dear leader speak.

No one should be above the law, and leaders need to be held to an even higher standard. I don’t know why this is so hard to understand.

Though they aren’t saying directly, or at least not to me, but I’m getting a lot of “buyer’s remorse” vibes from my MAGA coworkers. It’s too late now.

Something interesting happened today. The first bill was agreed to by both sides and was set to pass. Trump was good with it but Elon wasn't and killed it last minute. What happens in the future when there is conflicting direction from Elon and Trump? Which supreme leader will GOP listen to?

Impressive display of ineptitude today. Although both J.D. Vance, and Mike Johnson blamed Democrats because Elon's bill didn't get passed, they hold the majority. They didn't mention the 38 Republicans that voted against it of course. Republicans cannot govern.

In the military I swore to defend the constitution against all enemies foreign and domestic. The constitution is a living document designed to be adjusted with advancing times to form a more perfect union, for the people by the people. The people, not corporations or oligarchs.

I want the new administration to explain to me in detail, sourcing independent research and historical data, how treating marginalized people as lesser than others is justified, moral, and somehow benefits everyone. I'll wait.

The great thing about science is that it doesn't care if others believe in it or not.

So let me get this straight... If we believe all people should be treated equally and with respect, and want everyone to be free, happy, and healthy, we are the enemy within? What do they want exactly? Oh, never mind. I just remembered all of human history and can draw very specific parallels.

Let me be clear, I love the United States. I spent 20 years of my life defending it. Now a draft dodging sociopath who duped a third of America will try and change it for his own personal benefit. I will fight the incoming administration and happily spend the rest of my life repairing the damage.

I can’t wait until the Senate confirmation hearings on these radical nominations. I expect the Democrats will bring their A game. This is going to be wild.

I finished the Superman & Lois series finally yesterday. It’s going to be a bit before I recover. Damn that show was good.
