I have been somewhat remiss in keeping up to date with my adventures of late. There's been quite a lot of human-wrangling as She's been very tired and floppy of late. But I managed to get us out of the house a few weeks ago in search of snowdrops!

Oooooh! I got in the bag with Little Ted, which is always a good sign as he doesn't get out of bed for just anything, and when I came out look where we are! Adventure awaits!

Hello nice bluesky people! I have been having a little break from social media, and then thought, ooh, I know where is nice. So I might try and post a bit more.

Just wondering, does anyone have a spare pair of human lungs kicking about I could install in Her? Hers are quite frankly sub optimal and we are all very tired.

It appears we've been visited by the covid demons again. He's recovered pretty quickly although His breathing is hindering His running. She, however, still can't do a flight of stairs in one go. She's exhausted & grumpy & says everything is wrong. It's quite hard work here ATM.

We had a lovely time at the rest of Latitude, and we are now home safely, but it is very hot and She has been quite poorly so you may or may not get delayed updates of our antics!

And now we are all tucked up in bed in our fancy yurt trying to settle down whilst the music goes on till 3am. Little Ted is in his raving element but I am a very tired little otter. Do it all again tomorrow!

We then saw The Vaccines (representing @lozziepop89) who were absolutely brilliant, some prog funk noodling from a band called Khruangbin that was just a bit beyond us. Pretty sky though, and we had a very yummy wrap thing for tea with brownies for afters!

This also meant She was utterly broken & exhausted by the excitement so we retreated to the disabled platform (our normal haunt) & She napped through a band who were rather good, but woke up for @BaserCaity who was as much chaos -& fun - as last time we saw her at @LatitudeFest!

Then on to the most exciting part of the day - we saw @frankturner and the @SleepingSouls - not that unusual I hear you say, but She made it onto the barrier at the front! She didn't think that would be a thing ever again with the wobblibobs, but Rolly really helped & She coped!

This morning we had a nice calm start to the day with coffee & breakfast, and then watched a band called Blusher who were Australian and put us in mind of a 90s girl band but with more synth. A nice easy start to the day, we liked them. Might investigate further when home!

Yesterday, we then made our way to @LatitudeFest - got ourselves all settled in to our fancy yurt pretty early in the day. She's was very excited about the door. So much so She fell asleep for several hours 🙄😂

Whilst She had a little sleep I worked out who we were going to try and see. So much choice!

The absolute pinnacle of our day exploring the North Norfolk coast though was that we tracked down some @Brays_Cottage pork pies in Cley. We devoured them in a hotel bed picnic and I thought She (and Little Ted - and I!) might explode with happiness.

More adventures have been afoot! We left our little Norfolk cottage and went exploring the north Norfolk coast - including a visit to Sheringham, where I saw the sea and got to eat a crab sandwich. Yum!

We've now moved to a gorgeous little bolt hole in Norfolk. Having a few days for Her to recoup before the next thing. There is a lovely garden - Even Little Ted came out to sit in the evening sun last night. I think the Good Wine coming out might have been the incentive though!

I finally had to say Goodbye to Clive - I do wish we lived a bit nearer. I miss him. We then travelled to Lincoln where She met some friends from Uni (a v. long time ago) & the thought of that much nattering was too much for Little Ted so we sunbathed in the hotel instead!

I did manage to pop out to see a couple of family friends at York Marina though. They had lovely ice cream and cool drinks whilst I waited. It was very nice here, and nicer to know She was being safely kept an eye on by Clive!

It was, however, quite hot, so we mostly kept the humans indoors where we could keep them cool. We did manage lunch at a nice pub with a secret garden door one day though!

I have had a couple of very lovely days with my beloved Clive. She's been having a marvellous time catching up with @theowlgirl too - they do a lot of talking and a lot of flopping, so I can take my eye off Her for five minutes!

We are off on an adventure! I have been quite busy keeping an eye on Her so far, but I finally have Her settled with a coffee and a book so I can watch the world out of the window of the train. It is surprising to us how very flat so much of the country is. Hills gallore by us!

I have been absent from twitter for a bit because politics was too loud, and I reserve the right to vanish again for a little bit, but I needed to pop on to represent #OttersAtPollingStations. Or #MustelidsAtPollingStations? I understand my weasel brethren have been joining in!

Well. That was quite the evening of #Eurovision. We had the Grandhumans and human sibling here - Croatia, Austria and Switzerland came out top for all of us, with a couple of ties for France and Armenia. All in all, a fair result for the top 2 I think. Nemo has such *range*.

What a very big ⚡ thunderstorm ⚡we are having. He is away so it's me, Little Ted and Moz the Monster on full protection duties. Felines not much use as have been startled off - not by the thunder but by Her squeaking 🙄

This morning we said goodbye to our ovine neighbours who had been very companionable, and packed ourselves up into the car. She is quite overtired and achy so we decided to skip the visit to Lytes Cary we had planned and head straight home. It's been a fabulous few days!

It even had a hot tub outside - which was quite chilly on the bits that weren't submerged if you didn't have fur, apparently! Good fun though.

Last bundle of holiday spam 😊This is our little railway carriage that we stayed in last night. It was small but perfectly formed, and very cosy, especially with the fire on!

Eventually we left as we had more driving to do before arriving at our next home for the night - a refurbished railway goods carriage! I will share some pictures tomorrow, but we have some noisy neighbours.... And a nightcap!

And we watched a flying display by Bob, a very engaging Tawny owl. He was lovely, but I stayed in the bag mostly as I didn't want too close an encounter! He was Her favourite, especially when he was flirting with a young owl - cooing and bowing and floofing!

I also met Morwenna, an Indian Eagle Owl, who explained the tufts on her head are nothing to do with her ears which are further down her head, and are called plumicorns! How cool?!

I met Ivan, a western siberean eagle owl who's talons grow super fast so she needs regular chiropody appointments, and a pair of ring tailed lemurs that were enjoying running along the ceiling! I said hello to this Emu too, but they ignored me (for the best?

On our way to our next destination, we stopped off at @ScreechOwlSanct which is the most brilliant bird sanctuary with a huge number of owls, other birds & several sorts of other animals. Some pictures of our favourites: Buzz the Eurasian Buzzard, Logan Billy the Great Grey Owl

Sadly, it turns out this is not to be the case, and we had to leave the lovely Padstow Townhouse this morning. But they had even put little travel gifts in the car for us - little brownies and lots of water! They think of everything - it's the most luxurious home from home!

Then today breakfast arrived in a picnic hamper again! I could get very used to this. So much happiness - yoghurt and fruit and granola for the humans, smoked salmon and duck eggs for me!

I, however, took on the task of helping with the thermos of incredibly thick and somewhat boozy hot chocolate. It was absolutely mind blowingly good!

Little Ted did some sterling work and "dealt" with the amazing mint teacake-the little green crystals on top were minty and there were little minty chocolate chips inside the marshmallow. It was delightful, apparently!

When we got back last night from dinner, look what amazingness was waiting for us! Look how excited Little Ted is at a teacake the size of his head!
