Open source things for basic utilities on your computer are great. LibreOffice and GIMP work well and they do what you need them to do. Oh and it's free, no subscription!

Turns out Jack Armstrong BB actually sucks as a comic font because it takes up too much room. Chillside will be what I use moving on for everything I don't end up hand lettering.
