In a victory for free speech, a federal judge ruled that @uwmadison.bsky.social 's blocking of social media comments critical of its use of animals in horrific experiments is unconstitutional. Former primate caretaker @madelinekrasno.bsky.social won her appeal in the 7th circuit.

Madeline Krasno, who worked as a primate caretaker, filed a lawsuit after the university hid her social media comments criticizing its animal research practices.

We won the appeal!!! 🏆 With the help of @animallegaldefense.bsky.social, I sued UW-Madison after my comments on their posts were hidden and my IG account was restricted. As an alum & former lab worker, we alleged that this violated my First Amendment rights, as I was advocating against animal abuse.
