Just sitting here Googling dog disease symptoms and causes, blood test meanings, etc. The vet seems almost as much in the dark as I am. Nothing fits. At least my dog feels OK at the moment and will be pulling me around the block in an hour or so.

Happy National Rescue Dog Day! I adopted her in Jan. 2025 from the SPCA of Nor. Nevada (on our way home here). She was 6 yrs old & had been turned in to county animal services as a stray (unclaimed). She was scared to death when I met her, but see the pic in my profile the 1st night she was here.

This is my 48th Mother's Day as a mother, and my opinion is that's it's corny, sickeningly sweet and embarrassing. I still would be offended if my sons ignored it.

Life in my part of the world (sometimes they visit my front yard). As beautiful as they are, I can't enjoy them because they are so vulnerable. (I'm sure the ranchers would differ, but I am not a rancher.)

I picked beans as a kid in Oregon in the 1960s. It was hot, itchy work, but it was a temporary job--just a way for housewives to earn a little extra money and girls to earn money for school clothes (don't remember how much).
