All the buzz about Atomfall is that it "isn't the British Fallout", and having played it I can agree - it's the "British STALKER". You play an amnesiac, you're in a Zone (divided into minimaps) full of mutations, around an exploded nuclear power plant.

#booksky Day 2 of in-universe non-fiction The Compleat Ankh-Morpork. Early in writing his satirical fantasy series, Discworld, author Terry Pratchett declared his world 'unmappable' - but came round in the end, and they have some of the most detailed world-building books.

#booksky I'd like to talk about a particular subgenre of books that I like to read and collect: namely, in-universe non-fiction. It probably began with the Zork Trilogy of computer games, as each game manual started with a short in-universe book, complete with library stamps.

By the mid-90s, the X-Men lines were definitely becoming bloated. At the start of the 90s, the soft reboot had 5 X-Titles - X-Factor, X-Force, Uncanny X-Men, X-Men, and Wolverine (Alpha Flight and Excalibur were technically spinoffs but were really on their own at the time)

And so, my 2099 read-through comes to an end. For the record, I had the complete runs of X-Men and X-Nation, plus most of Doom and a scattering of other issues and specials.
