Probably best to avoid me for the next few weeks because I just finished

memoir and I am insufferable. I am skillfully steering every conversation so that I can bring up an anecdote from the book.

As a mum of an autistic child, I don't feel any guilt. I do, however, feel furious and terrified because the end goal is to make autistic lives unliveable. This. Is. Fascism.

I wish more disabled and/or neurodivergent people (not to mention the ableds) would understand that the explicit openly stated goal of tech companies re gAI is to replace every public/social service from healthcare to education and more with their tech. And theyâre using us to build consensus.

SEND parents: We need more TAs and 1-1s in school Government: there's no money. Also government: (I'm not anti tech but this is not the silver bullet the goverment thinks it is. It does not 'assist' kids with social communication differences and sensory processing disorders)

My eldest often assigns family and friends names related to a thing he's interested in. (We've had planet names, Thomas characters etc). He's currently into Gladiators. He is referring to me exclusively as Mark Clattenburg.

At the 'Women Talking' symposium in Leeds. Blown away by the way
@feministbell.bsky.social
presents. A real feminist ethics of care in the way she curates and communicates info. I don't know how to explain it other than to say it's like watching a really good documentary.

The step-up in anti-migrant rhetoric from the government is shameful and dangerous. Migrants are our neighbours, friends and family. To suggest that Britain risks becoming âan island of strangersâ because of immigration mimics the scaremongering of the far-right.
