As I get older I think more about taking up a more supporting role in the fanmusic space rather then participating in it. It's not out of lack of love for the scenes I'm in, it's more that I want to make room and give opportunities who have the capacity to be more active then me.

I'm not gonna wade into the Discourse too much here. Localization takes a long time to do and I get wanting to get it right. A lot of games, even AAA, don't launch with localizations in every language. Even if it's after launch, I do think it's worth doing the work to translate a game.

In the 9 years I've been doing music production/composition, the most interesting music I've heard has often come from people making music with no budget or very close. While there is some privilege in being able to invest time into music, you'll have a skill for life which is worth it imo
