So I did my first attempts with the half-moon filter I finally sourced. There's still 18 shots on the roll, so I won't see the results just yet, but I'm keen and anxious. Pretty sure they'll be shit, but these are early attempts...

So my very first attempt at Gel Printing photo transfer has failed. I don't know why, wrong laser printer brand, paper, acrylic paint, too much paint, etc. Plenty of potential explanations. However, looking at one monotype collage video was an epiphany on an ongoing illustration project... (1/2)

For my bday, thanks to the generosity of my mother-in-law, I got myself a gel plate and some acrylic paints. Here are my first attempts using an old woodblock (from an Indian cloth pattern I suspect) I'd found in a flea market in London. Quite happy, although photo transfer attempt didn't work.

OK so I have researched 645 systems with removable lenses, and I think the Pentax 645 is the one for me. It ticks all the boxes: allows for multiple exposure, has a wide angle lens in catalog that's not a fisheye. I'm eyeing one that's available in Paris. Any reason not to? #believeinfilm

OK #believeinfilm I know what I want in a 645 system better. I want to get into a system that allows me to shoot portrait and wide angle, as wide as possible. Wide angle lense needs to have a short focusing distance. Cheap and/or durable is better. Looking for recommendations.
