This is the worst news today

Car update: definitely the head gasket. 3300+tax to fix. Hopefully today, but maybe not until Monday. 😬

I am anxious about my car so I am changing my sheets and then taking a bath.

Bad side again: I’ve got a Prius “death rattle”. Had to be towed to a mechanic after hours and leave my car there overnight. Can be fixed but it’s expensive.

On the good side: had a really good talk with my boss this morning about what I need in order to keep growing my program (aka a second person). But also some short term fixes for places where I’m struggling while the higher ups talk whole new position.

Everything bad has been turned up to 11 lately so I booked a mental health day off in a few weeks and booked a massage (Xmas present from my boss) for that day.

I am so grouchy today. Everyone keeps texting the work number even though they KNOW it’s not supposed to be monitored on weekends. But almost none of it is things that can wait. 🤬

In n out is extremely mid. I have never understood the five hour lines when a new one opens. (Also they get less attention for it but they’re every bit as religious as chick fil a. They print Bible verses on all of their paper products.)

Intellectually, I understand and accept that language evolves and changes. But the change of “whenever” into a singular instead of a plural past event is something I will never accept. I WILL die on this hill.

Finished a new pair of socks!

One of the cats has been missing all day- the one who never goes outside or does anything, ever. Spent three hours looking through every single nook and cranny inside the house, and walking and pacing outside the house. She was under the sofa in mom’s room; I looked under it at least 3 times.

I have somehow landed on the #Coachella scam tickets side of Instagram and whatever the hell is going on through resale sites is BS and they can easily put a stop to it by just not letting the original purchaser report them as lost/stolen anymore. Esp when it’s through the official Coachella site.

So last fall I bought a much from a guy in Canada. It’s gorgeous. And I love it. But nowfedex is coming after me for tariffs. The same tariffs that were just rules illegal. And that the seller filed a LOT of paperwork to exempt me (and any other purchasers at the time) from owing.

I have been feeling out of touch and out of sorts about this for YEARS now. The mainstream and far left’s leaning into blaming Israel for literally everything right now feels a very, very small step from just outright blaming the Jews.

I took off my socks between work and skating because it was hot. But now I have to put socks back on and I don’t want to.
