No API keys. No servers. Just your browser. I built an on-device AI agent in <200 lines of code using Gemini Nano / Phi-4-mini — straight from DevTools console. It loops, calls tools, even reads your filesystem. How to build an Agent, On-Device Edition:

Every single young Australian would need to order 4,888 t-shirts from Temu each year (13 per day) to match Woodside's current emissions. And to reach Woodside's maximum emissions estimates for the North West Shelf Extension? They would each need to order 214,571 t-shirts.

I'm going to try to write a thread to entice people to read this piece I published last night. A series of disasters have hit Australian waters in the first half of this year, and I am terrified and offended by the fact that the losses being suffered are barely being spoken about. You should be. 🧵

If the federal political/media bubble was remotely connected to the real world, it would agree not to do the ridiculous campaign roadshow that nobody cares about anymore, and rethink how to actually communicate with voters in a meaningful way. It does not, however, possess a brain.

TIL lots of ISPs use CGNAT to conserve ipv4 addresses which means crappy geoblocking services think you're using a VPN cause your shared ip has been put on a blacklist.

NEM Storage Update. The NEM currently has ~6GW/34GWh of storage. Another ~13.8GW/424.4GWh is financially committed or anticipated, which would bring the total to 19.5GW/458GWh. Note that 24GW/120GWh is enough storage to enable >98% renewable grid.

This is an absolutely crazy deal!* ALDI is offering a 6kW solar system, with a 5.1kWh battery, *with installation* for $8k! Absolutely fucking nuts! * Obvious caveats about checking the offering is right for you and your circumstances. This is so, so, so cheap. Do your due diligence!
