There are under a handful of very specific story genres that speak to me on a spiritual level. It's not hard to boil those down further to just two broader—but still not top-level genres: Urban Fantasy and Soft Science Fiction. Much more easily combined. Star Wars and Mass Effect are big examples.

I think it was a mistake to take what I imagine was the biggest draw of Champions—the coexistence of Mega Evolution, Z-Moves, Gigantamaxing, and Terastallization—and space them out between future updates. Making the launch meta easy for casuals is hard to accept when the game is 99% VGC propaganda.

Pokémon Champions initial thoughts: - Lack of voice acting. Other battle sims had an announcer dude at least - Weird animation stuttering in cutscenes - Clearly doesn't seem to be Switch 2 enhanced like ScVi is. If it is... yikes - Free-to-play viability seems decent - Battles seem good

Life Is Strange: Reunion gets an 8.5/10. I think the story in general is better than Double Exposure. It has a proper ending too, so that helps a lot. But it's very obvious it was fairly rushed. Visual bugs, audio funkiness, just kind of a general jank that even DE didn't have to this extent.

LIS: Reunion was good. Still have issues with certain narrative choices made by Deck Nine in the 10 years between LIS1 and DE, but they're mitigated heavily by playing Save Bay canon. Ending, at least the one I got, felt satisfying as someone heavily invested in Chloe.

I've bought the last 3 Hitman games. I've put maybe 2-3 hours into all of them combined. There was a point in my life where I would have lost hundreds of hours in these games. I can still feel that part of me in there, but for some reason when I actually sit down to play Hitman, I lose the desire.

Pokopia respects your time way better than Animal Crossing. And I don't mean that it lets you progress as much as you want as fast as you want. I mean it has QoL stuff like crafting taking ⅓ of the time. Only a couple hours into it, and it's already opened up way more than I expected.

Leave for work in almost exactly 9 hours. If I decide to stay up, I'll likely start getting sleepy in 4-6 hours. If I try to sleep, I'll end up lying awake in bed the entire time with a tiny chance of actually falling asleep. Hate my inability to just... sleep.
