Kicking off an interesting symposium on sleep and physiology: Emily Cardenas shared fascinating work on the peripartum period, showing that in women with a more reduced reward response (RewP) sleep problems were more strongly linked to depressive symptoms 💤 #2025SPR @therealspr.bsky.social

Research by Kreshnik Burani demonstrated that individuals with Social Anxiety Disorder continue selecting the same option even while losing, showing potential deficits in learning from losses compared to healthy control participants. #2025SPR @therealspr.bsky.social

Using the Trust Game, @fabioladiana.bsky.social found trustees reciprocated more money when F2F with the trustor vs face-blocked. Interestingly, skin conductance synchrony predicted lower reciprocity when F2F, raising mechanistic Qs about what physio state means in the task. @therealspr.bsky.social

Very interesting talk presented by Dr. Bartholow at #2025SPR! He showed how low alcohol sensitivity can be a risk factor for alcohol use disorder and is related to incentive salience susceptibility, indicating how neurophys can be used to understand alcohol use. @therealspr.bsky.social
