This is a fun idea, and one based in existing canon when you consider it's just a repurposed warp core ejection system. Taking the concept further: could turbolifts also have an auxiliary function as lifeboats? They're already enclosed, mobile, and conveniently accessible throughout a ship.

As a rule, I don't buy games on release day. Little Rocket Lab was an exception. Delighted to know they deserve that support, and would recommend the game to anybody who likes the idea of automation and isn't offended by estrogen or melanin.

I have talked about this before, as a trans person I have a lot of very specific Tuvix opinions. The way the crew talks about mouring the loss of Tuvok and Nelix, and wanting Tuvix to give up their existance and go back to being someone else, feels very "please detransition, I am mourning old you".

I'd like to be excited about the new Star Trek: Voyager game that came out of nowhere, not least of which to keep Kim level 1 throughout the whole run for authenticity, but I confess I'm worried when the running lights are on the wrong sides.

A Premium Product for Premium Users. You know, like the Cybertruck. Same pitch, same target userbase. It doesn't have to be functional as long as it's *elite*.

Public speaking is like comedy. If your "character" isn't being explicitly called out for their bigotry, it's not a character. It's an excuse.

Look, I'm not saying a company with a wide audience of nostalgia-fuelled customers who balk at anything being Not How It Was Before would deliberately boringify an iconic logo purely to ride the resulting publicity boost, but it's certainly something to consider.

Jokes aside, this is a valid idea for holosuites. Isolinear rod ports in a plug-through cart that superimposes characters into other settings. Having Moriarty in a Captain Proton story can't be any more thematically jarringly than the shit Warner Brothers already slapped together in Multiversus.

27 years later and I still remember Commissar Holt. I'll give the Cavill show a go, sure, but a big spectacle is not where 40k shines. It shines down in the trenches with the filth and the fear and the death, all given a coating of ham and cheese. To take it too seriously is to miss the point.

I see the British TERF contingent are now applauding a convicted sex offender that frequented Epstein's island, just in case there was any doubt how truly committed to the protection of women and children they are.

Looks like MiniPainting Bluesky is having a sponge moment. Seen people suggest reverse tweezers instead of... whatever the fuck this is... but I'd offer surgical forceps as alternative idea. Locks in place, can use larger pieces along the side, basically indestructible, less than a fiver.

Note to self: Green Stuff World Chrome Metal paints are alcohol based and do not use normal airbrush thinners. Airbrush thinners in this situation are, if anything, airbrush turn-it-into-a-solid.

Earth 2 is a middlingly enjoyable enough sci-fi show, but very fuck whoever decided to put that red-tailed hawk sound effect in every single cocking episode. It's as overused as the violin screech in 12 Monkeys. Also: the Grendlers use the same sfx library as Imps from Doom, so there's that.

Bluesky is a mixed blessing. On the one hand you can totally excise the toxicity of Elon's shitstorm. On the other the creativity of the people who remain can, unintentionally, increase your imposter syndrome. Starting to wonder if my only USP is fitting 10 uses of the work "bollocks" into a video.
