I write erotic books! People constantly call them soft porn. Or sometimes not-so-soft porn. LOL They are plenty deep, and their purpose is many-layered! But even if that wasn't true, we do not through sexual content under the bus! The people trying to ban books think all romance is porn!

Not to reopen a discourse, but I'm watching Twisters again. When people talked about the no-kiss-situation, I think we didn't talk enough about how she really seemed to love that guy she was with at the beginning, and how terrifying that whole opening sequence was.

All these winter transaction updates for baseball teams, players moving, coaches hired, and I wish my brain would stop seeing a story premise in every single goddamn one of them because I already have too many things to finish

Had a great first half of the month writing-wise, and then...

Baseball teams acquiring players with iffy stats is relatable to every woman who has ever looked at a man and whispered “I can fix him.”

This point about horror and romance is so true. It is such a skill to write something that reaches beyond the page and makes readers feel.

Sarah's description of the upcoming Lorraine Heath made me laugh because I accidentally confessed to a bunch of fellow writers this weekend that I am absolutely garbage for any version of desert island/feral boy/lost in the wilderness romances 😅
