loading . . . There are some moments in a conference that always stand out. It can be conversations in the middle of the hallway, or the food, or the party, and sometimes it is the presentation that inspires ideas and shows you a path. These magical moments make MoodleMoot Global what it is, and just like every other year, we witnessed a gamut of brilliant presentations – some of which echoed louder with the audience.
This year, at a post-event survey, we asked attendees to cast their votes for the best presentation. And here are the results!
## The winning nod went to Javier Tejera
And why not? Javier’s presentation was like a bridge between what is and what can be possible. He didn’t talk about AI like a silver spoon to be attained or earned, but he painted it in the shades of a companion for educators to spark new ideas. Of course, following his presentation, there was a lot of buzz in the audience, and it also offered a space for several interesting questions.

## Judith Birke reimagined the Moodle database
Judith took a feature many of us know well and turned it into something fresh, playful, and collaborative. As the Learning Experience Designer from the University of Teacher Education St.Gallen, Judith helped everyone envision how they could reinvent assignments, portfolios, and group archives. Surely, a lot of us left that talk wanting to tinker immediately.

## We got a tie in the third position
### Lewis Carr on designing courses for the streaming generation
Lewis challenged us to see learners as curators of content, to borrow ideas from media, platforms, and experiences they already love. His energy left plenty of room to rethink old assumptions.

For those of us who build content, Frédéric’s session felt like unlocking a new palette. It felt like he was assuring us that we can make it more beautiful, more usable, more alive.

## Lighting up the room
Even though the keynote presentations and the Moodle HQ were not eligible to compete, it would be remiss not to mention some of the audience favourites. The two presentations that left a lasting impression on all of us include:
Dr. Naeema Pasha, with _Nurturing Growth in the Industry 5.0 Era_ , reminded us that technology should never outpace the human. Her reflections on trust, purpose, and resilience echoed long after her keynote.
Nadia Perujo, in _May I Have Your Attention, Please?_ , challenged us to think hard about engagement; how we hold attention, how we spark curiosity, how we resist distraction in learning.
## What stuck around with us
There is something special about the best presentation award, in that it is selected by the audience. At MoodleMoot, what matters most isn’t just the ideas themselves, but how they land with educators, practitioners, and learners.
